Description

For pet care: 100% New Zealand Manuka honey this product has been independently certified as containing >500 MG, giving it excellent antibacterial strength. The honey works to kill the bacteria while retaining moisture, so the wound can heal faster and with less scarring.

Intended for the management of wounds in the early stages of healing, the honey can be safely applied to an open wound or beneath a bandage, after following normal wound cleaning procedures.

Designed for severe/contaminated wounds & those that can be bandaged which are in the early stages of healing. Examples; severe open wounds, de-gloving injuries of lower limbs, severe mud fever, burst boils

Directions

Apply a thin film directly to the wound 2-3 times daily or under a bandage for up to 21 consecutive days.

Manuka Vet

Mānuka Vet is a natural mānuka honey wound treatment that's been developed by veterinarians, specifically with horses in mind.

Horses especially tend to have poor circulation in their limbs, which makes them particularly prone to infections. In fact, horse injuries are the third most common reason for vet callouts because of this they decided to create our own range of equine wound treatments, keeping that balance between nature, science and veterinary medicine.

I could not use on my cat's head wound, as it was a lot stickier than a gel. More a liquid honey, which he would have rubbed all over my house. I use Manuka based products myself, and know how good they are, but had hoped to also use on my cat. Would need to be in an area I could cover up.
