Claude Stratford and Alan Bougen established their Paengaroa company in 1974 with a commitment to help people maintain good health.  Their original vision of people living healthy lives through a connection to pure natural products still holds firm today. Comvita is one of New Zealand's major producers of high-quality Manuka Honey and honey products. 

Comvita forms strong relationships with independent beekeepers based in remote areas of the central North Island and Northland.  Using modern technology, all of Comvita's honeys can be traced back to the source ensuring transparency and purity.  From the beehive to the quality end product, caring for the environment and being sustainable are part of Comvita’s philosophy and production practices.

Being a member of the Unique Manuka Factor Honey Association means Comvita’s honey is independently tested and graded. This compliance guarantees that their Manuka Honey has the special compounds required to certify a pure product with many health providing benefits.
