It is sourced from the pristine mountainous regions of New Zealand's South Island where the isolated beehives are placed on land where the Manuka trees are plentiful. The resulting Manuka Honey is full of natural organic goodness.

Every jar of TranzAlpine's organic Manuka Honey has been independently tested to ensure it meets the MG (methylgloxal) definition as set out by the New Zealand Government. Methylgloxal is the naturally occurring compound that is unique to Manuka Honey. As a guide MG 50-100 is ideal for daily use, MG 100-250 has added goodness and MG 250 and above is maximum strength Manuka Honey. TranzAlpine's collection of organic Manuka Honey and honey products range in strength from MG 50+ through to MG 650+, the higher the MG rating, the higher the strength and purity.

Each jar of TranzAlpine's organic Manuka Honey has its own unique batch code which enables it to be traced right back to the hive where it came from. They use 100% recycled food safe PET jars and were one of the first honey companies in New Zealand to do so.
