Rare Harvest is independently certified at an unprecedented 1,700+MGO / 31+UMF.
One of the highest UMF ratings ever and one of the few Manuka Honeys in the world that can claim this spot!
Made by the producers of the recently released and world record setting 1,900+MGO / 33+UMF Manuka Honey.
This precious, highly collectable Rare Harvest is strictly limited to 1000, hand numbered and signed jars – luxuriously topped with a hand-turned NZ native timber lid with the wood also incorporated into a bespoke, brass handled honey drizzler. Its white magnetically closed outer box opens out into five segments, reflecting the petals of the Manuka blossom.
It is worth noting that Rare Harvest claimed the Gold Award in the Product Packaging Open Category and the Silver Award in the Monofloral Manuka Honey category at the National Honey Competition at the 2019 Apiculture Conference in Rotorua.
Rare Harvest is independently tested and guaranteed to contain at least 1700mg Methylglyoxal per kg. It has been certified by the UMFHA (The UMF Honey Association) at 31+ UMF, one of the highest ever test results since their accredited laboratories first began testing samples.
The UMFHA testing process tests for three key signature markers that, in combination, confirm whether a product is genuine Manuka Honey from New Zealand. Those three key markers are Leptosperin, MGO and DHA. The levels of signature markers found in the Rare Harvest Manuka Honey is exceptional and underscores the quality and intensity of other Manuka Honey from New Zealand.
Just as a grapevine under stress creates a better vintage, challenging conditions in 2017 drove one single windswept, remote Manuka block to produce a particularly potent nectar, resulting in an extraordinary, singular harvest.
This kind of result may be due to an extraordinary set of natural circumstances, but as The True Honey Co. founder Jim McMillan says, it’s not something to leave simply to chance. They stand behind every drop of their honey and this can only be achieved by having full ownership and control from hive to jar. The genuine care of their honeybees is paramount because healthy bees make an exceptional honey like the Rare Harvest.
The liquid gold that The True Honey Co. produce keeps creating quite the buzz here and abroad. In February 2021 they released the highest grade Manuka Honey that's ever been produced in the world -with a UMF of 33+ / MGO 1900+ it's in a league of its own. In the 7 years that The True Honey Co. have been in operation this latest batch is a new world record. Only 200 jars will be released globally at a cost of around $5000.00 per 230g jar.
Please note: Due to restrictions we are unable to ship The True Honey Co products to United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

The True Honey Co. founder Jim McMillan had an idea while exploring New Zealand’s breathtaking, remote back country– to harvest, bottle and sell Manuka Honey that’s deliciously good while at the same time looking after everybody (and every bee) at every step along the way. The True Honey Co. believes in equally caring for their bees, the land and the people who are part of their business, from staff to partners to customers. Jim and his team searched for the best areas of Manuka bush, building solid partnerships with the people who own the land. This took lots of time spent working together, before a drop of honey could be made. This process meant that nowadays, wherever they place their hives, you can be sure that landowners are getting a fair deal too. The True Honey Co. is all about quality and it stands by every drop produced.
