Why would I buy honey that is close to it's BB date?
Well, Honey never expires but due to NZ food labelling guidelines we need to have a best before date printed.
So, it's perfectly fine to consume and has been stored at the right temperatures here in our facility ....

Enjoy as a spread or straight off the spoon. Store upright at room temperature (below 25 degrees) and out of direct sunlight.
For preferred honey consistency, warm to soften or refrigerate to firm.

Bee health is optimised through hives having their own identification tag which can be accessed electronically. Information is gathered daily, and databases updated to ensure an authentic product. Factories in Opotiki and Whakatane process the raw unpasteurized honey. It is only lightly filtered to ensure that all the goodness is retained. Through Melora’s Ethical Honey Harvesting programme, the Manuka is ethically and sustainably sourced and harvested to create honey and skincare products rich with Manuka's health providing benefits. Melora’s Fair Share Programme ensures that a percentage of the income from their Manuka Honey and products benefits the Maori landowner partners. Melora is a member and licensee of the Unique Manuka Factor Honey Association. This guarantees that through independent testing and adhering to strict conditions, their Manuka Honey is genuine and of a high quality.
